I love Shel Silverstein ... I am scouring where the sidewalk ends in trying to pick one

I'm hit or miss with Shel. But, when it's a hit, it tends to be a big hit (like the above poem). My 4-year old just LOVES Shel!!! When we're visiting my mom, he begs her to read it to him before bed every night.

I was scouring Where the Sidewalk Ends but really the first poem that popped into my mind was by Emily Dickinson. I loved it since the first time I stumbled upon it in the 8th grade little did I know more then 10 years later I would be revisiting this poem over and over when I lost my unlce my mom and my cousin his grandpa all with in six months

Parting
My life closed twice before its close;
It yet remains to see
If Immortality unveil
