I'm going to have to go with Eve Dallas and Roarke in JD Robb's In Death series. They are both independently strong, but work together to become even stronger. They are both better people for being with the other. They love each other. They fight with each other. They have great make-up sex. The have great non-make-up sex. What's not to love?
